What happens in a mindfulness session?

Rod Watson: Core Process Psychotherapy, Nelson, New Zealand NZ

Learn to live more fully in the present moment, let go of reactive behaviours, not be overwhelmed by negative emotions, and get in touch with the source of your vitality in your body.   In each session we will explore a further aspect of mindfulness. Over a number of sessions you will be resourced with a toolbox of techniques, such as body scan, meditation, spacious listening.  You will learn to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life - in all situations at all times.

The work varies with every client, as we all have different histories and different blocks to being fully present in the moment.

Using the Buddhist Four Foundations of Mindfulness as our guide, we will work together in the present moment to develop our mindfulness of body, feelings, mind, and the contents of mind.

We will look at your habitual tendencies of mind, and how they may be transformed. How to disengage from our usual mode of mind, the doing driven mode, and let go into the being mode of mind. We will explore ways to shift from a focus on the contents of mind to a focus on the process of mind.

I recommend a course of six sessions to cover the foundations and equip you with the tools to transform yourself. Course cost $360.
